Second Sight – Real or Imaginary?

A muscular man with tattoos stands in a graveyard, holding a sword raised toward a bright light and lightning in the stormy sky, while a crow perches nearby.

When I was much younger in the early 90’s, in order to make ends meet, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant as one oif my three jobs. I signed up to help with the part of the industry that had the most job openings.

A Hospice Facility.

This was a place where people with a terminal illness has mere weeks left to live, if that much time, actually slept evbery night until they died. When they died, the CNA and Hospice RN would sign the disclosure that there was no foul play, they died of natural causes in their sleep.

No autopsy needed. Just wrap the corpse, let it go to the morgue and get them prepped for their funeral.

Not everybody was sleeping 100% of the time during this final phase of their life. A lot of them are awake, and they have something going on. All of them. Identical reactions. Nearly identical questions.

Doctors said they are hallucinating. If so, then why did they always see the same things?

Bugs. Spiders the size of a dog or a cat. Small trolls with evil expressions. Strange people standing in the corner, watching and waiting, people they didn’t know or recognize.

One woman did recognize somebody nobody else could see. “That’s my great great grandma. We have an oil painting of her, and there she is! What do you mean you can’t see her? She’s right there, silent, watching! What does she want from me?”

That woman died five hours later, talking the her relative that nobody could see or hear.

Recently, last year, one of my best friends died of old age. She went to a Hospice Facility in the last two weeks of her life, but when we talked over the phone, she did confess.

“Dan, I see them. I know they have to be hallucinations or something, but I see the gnomes and small trolls. I see the massive bugs crawling about. Why can I see them and nobody else?”

I told her to rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ. If they are really there and evil, they will be vanquished and removed from your presence. If they are not there, they won’t budge.

The trolls and gnomes vanished. The silent peopole who were standing by in the distance merely stood there. The bugs didn’t vanish.

Then again, bugs are not demonic.

Perhaps they are not hallucinations?

What if by chance, since you are close to death, you gain the sight of one who is supposed to be dead? Where you can see the ‘other side’ that we normally don’t pay attention too?

Is this when I should talk about some of the things I see these days? When my friend started to see this stuff, she lived another seven months, and as she got closer to the day she died, the more she would see all at once.

Are they bad? Should I grab a pair of swords and test their existence? Not guns, no, but what used to kill evil way back in the old days. A good sharp sword!

I’m seeing things that are not there, but not in a large volume. My terminal illness is not the cause of hallucinations. Perhaps these are not my mind playing tricks at all.

I rebuked one small creature in the name of Jesus, and he was instantly gone. Vanished. Something tells me my death is approaching, as this is not unfamiliar to me. Rebuking does work, so this is no mind game from a dying brain. If it was, these things would go away no matter what.

I do have a nice blade. One gets close enough, I’ll see if the little knee high monster bleeds or not. I always confirm my target, so I will not be hurting any member of the family or myself. If the creature yelps and bleeds and runs away to heal up, then I know I’m not being afflicted by hallucinations. Fake mind critters don’t bleed or flee for anything. Living ones do. Even if they are invisible to everyone else.

Pray for me. One night, I will go to sleep and wake up in Heaven. I want more time with my family on Earth first, but I am leaving it all in the hands of Jesus Christ. My Lord and Savior. Amen!

As for the rest of you, please stay safe and God Bless! If I can confirm those damned Goblins are indeed real, I will let you all know before I clock out and leave Earth for a better life.
