Money isn’t the typical go to for roots of any kind. Evil of course, is excluded. Money is more of a target to corrupt the human soul. Why?
Because we are forced to procure it. A thing we need, a thing we are forced to want, a destination for those who use it to manipulate others.
Power and Money work together in many different areas of our life.
Political Power. Religious Power. Spending Power. Electrical Power. All of these needs copious amounts of money to gain. So yes, power and money walk hand in hand.
Humanity is forced to focus on wealth for survival. This wasn’t always the case.
At one point, survival means shelter, water and food. Get those three, you live to see another day. Now these items have a money value attached to them, we are forced to spend money to gain these things. In order to spend money, we have to earn it. Or steal it. Or blackmail for it.
Evil, in its own self serving interest, backs up ALL methods for spreading money among mankind.
Normally, this would be a cause for alarm. And it still is. So why don’t we feel as if we are in peril?
Desensitization.
We have become accustomed to evil. It’s horrific, but true.
What does evil do when confronted with good? It recoils. Evil hates good. It’s the enemy. The one thing that can defeat evil.
Who is the Ultimate good? God.
So ask yourself. When you hear about God, do you smile like I do, or do you recoil, or roll your eyes, or look off into the distance to show how uncaring you are for God?
If you recoil, or show indifference, why then should God bless you and help you during your troubles?
Exactly.
In the end, God wins. Do you want to be on the winning side or not?
